Ohmygosh! Office and Sisus’s new co-production 'TED' is a 35-minute outdoor circus performance for all ages. It offers a fresh perspective on street performance which is both intimate and outrageous. TED redefines circus, with a character-based, narrative-rich, costume-focused piece, bringing forth a unique and socially resonant experience.
The production revolves around two strong characters, Ted and Kimberly (played by Inka Pehkonen and Imogen Huzel). An unusual pairing, who fell in love on a badminton pitch.
Ted is a businessman, Kimberly, an artist and together they have one mission - to make circus cool again.
The project incorporates elements of modern clowning, humor, and a unique visual design featuring QR codes that extend the performance beyond the stage. They dance and flip to the music of Klaus Nomi, continuing in his footsteps to challenge normative behaviour, as some of the fight klaus was fighting still needs to be fought. In the end love is love!
The end
Love Imogen and Inka who hope to play this show hundreds of times so they get to marry over and over again! What a dream!
The project is divided into 3 phases:
- Phase 1: research phase (autumn 2023-winter 2024)
- Phase 2: creation (spring 2024- spring 2025)
- Phase 3: premiere and tour (from spring 2025->)
